The KOICA Alumni Kenya Chapter (KAKC) officials held a strategic engagement meeting with the incoming KOICA Kenya Country Director Dr. Wankyu Park on 16th April 2025 at the KOICA Kenya Office in Nairobi. The meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration, share progress, and align priorities under the new leadership.
KAKC officials presented a report on the Chapter’s key achievements, including alumni networking, capacity-building programs, and community-based projects. They also discussed challenges faced in administrative processes, member participation, and resource mobilization.
The Country Director commended KAKC’s commitment to promoting Korea–Kenya cooperation and reaffirmed KOICA’s continued support for alumni-led initiatives that contribute to Kenya’s sustainable development goals. The KOICA Kenya team also shared its strategic focus areas for 2025, emphasizing climate action, digital transformation, and inclusive growth.
The two parties agreed on a clear way forward, including structured quarterly engagements, co-hosting flagship events, and jointly implementing development-oriented projects. The meeting strengthened communication channels and laid a solid foundation for continued partnership and collaboration.
