Kennedy, currently works as a Senior Fisheries and Blue Economy Officer with the State Department for Blue Economy and Fisheries (HQs Nairobi); Ministry of Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs.

An alumnus of Kenyatta University, school of Environmental Studies Kennedy graduated with BSc in Environmental Science. He also holds a certificate in Climate Governance, Diplomacy and Negotiations Leadership Program from the African Group of Negotiators Expert Support (AGNES) and a certificate in Senior Management Course from the Kenya School of Government (KSG). Kennedy benefitted from a virtual one-week training program in the Management of IUU Fishing organized joined by KOICA and Korean Maritime Institute in September 2022.
