Hello, meet Zablon Okenge, the Deputy Secretary for KOICA Alumni Kenya Chapter (KAKC) elected into office on 13^th May, 2022. Zablon is a trained Economist who has been in public service since 2016. Prior to joining the public service, Zablon worked as a banker with one of the local banks in Kenya. His career objective is to work in an innovative and challenging environment using his professional and academic training as well as experience and skills to benefit the Community. Before travelling to South Korea in August 2019 to undertake his Master’s degree, Zablon was working as an Economist with the County Government of Kakamega.

Zablon holds a Master’s Degree in International Studies, majoring in Area Studies from Seoul National University, Republic of South Korea (2021) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Kenyatta University, Republic of Kenya (2014). Zablon has also attended professional training in Senior Management, Project Planning and Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Climate Change Policy, Planning and Budgeting. He is a full member of the Economists Society of Kenya (ESK).
